A brand new 4 week Foundation Course with Jan Styles, DRU Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Health Coach.


If you want to feel empowered and knowledgeable to be the healthiest and happiest you can be, this course is for you.


To know the wisdom of Ayurveda is to begin the journey of self discovery and healing. This course has been designed to inspire you to take the steps to truly understand your own given nature and how to restore the balance of health. Too often we feel like a victim when we are unwell and expect a “quick fix” or solution to our problems, rather than taking time to consult our innate inner guidance. The effects of Ayurveda are accumulative, long lasting, empowering and often transformative.


Week 1.  Discover the beautiful origins of Ayurveda. Learn how your unique nature has an inter-relationship with the elements around us. -  ether (space), air, fire (sunlight), water and earth - and how living harmoniously with the time of day and seasons helps to restore health and internal balance.


Week 2.  Ayurveda assesses us by our dosha or imbalance according to the elements mentioned  above. Learn how to restore and experience true equilibrium  through creating your own unique lifestyle and diet.


Week 3.  It is said that you are only as young as your digestive fire!  This week will teach you how to know how strong that fire is and ways of monitoring toxins in the body that lead to much of the illness that we experience.


Week 4.  Ayurveda recognises the importance of healthy elimination  and sees the systems of the body as tissues and channels.  This session will help you  understand  the  progression of chronic health conditions and how to monitor them. Learn how to support  the natural functioning  of your body to keep it free from the toxic residues that create imbalance and ultimately dis-ease.


I invite you to choose one of the following 4 week foundation courses:  (there will be the opportunity to make up a missed date if you are unable to attend consecutive  weeks). Tuesdays and Thursdays of the same week are interchangeable, but I need to know your preference at time of booking.

NB.  This course has been designed to provide you with an overall picture of the foundations of Ayurveda. You can then choose any of the more specialised upcoming  talks if you would like to understand more about a specific condition. (Dates to be confirmed).  Any information given is to support and complement your current health management  rather than replace it. You are therefore advised not to make any changes regarding medication  without first consulting your GP.

Ayurveda  - meaning Life Science - is an ancient  tradition that originated 6000 years ago and is receiving much interest today during a time when we feel the need to reconnect with more natural ways of living.  It is far more than the science of longevity and the Ayurvedic Practitioner has to be able to perceive the inner nature of the client.  I would love to take you on this journey through weekly inspiring talks and private consultations if you need further guidance.
