Exercise should be fun and enjoyable, allowing us to enjoy life to the full and recover quickly after injury. There’s a type of exercise out there for everyone, so never give up on keeping fit and healthy.

ABATD Ballet Teacher
Health and fitness has always been a huge part of my life, from playing sports and dancing throughout my childhood, to becoming a qualified dance teacher and then completing my degree in physiotherapy in 2007.
I had been introduced to Pilates during my physiotherapy training and found that not only was this form of exercise enjoyable and challenging, but it aided in the recovery of a back injury I sustained while dancing.
Since then I have completed the entire Matwork series and attend regular training sessions to keep my teaching methods current and up to date. The APPI method is graded to allow gentle progression through the levels, so can easily be used alongside injuries. I use a hands-on approach and my physiotherapy qualification allows me to adapt specific exercises to clients as required.
In addition to this, I have recently become a new mum and found that using Pilates throughout my pregnancy allowed me to keep fit and active right up to the birth of my daughter. I am therefore keen to help other ladies during this exciting time and am thrilled to be running antenatal Pilates courses at the centre.
